Frank Crenshaw Millspaugh (born January 14, 1872 in Shawneetown , Illinois , †  July 8, 1947 in Joplin , Missouri ) was an American politician . In 1921 and 1922 he represented the state of Missouri in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Frank Millspaugh attended public schools in his home country. In 1891 he went to New Orleans , where he worked in the grain trade. He carried out this activity in the following years in Chicago , St. Louis and Canton (Missouri). Between 1900 and 1921 Millspaugh was active in the banking industry. Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party . In 1912 he took part as a delegate at their regional party convention in Missouri. Between 1915 and 1919 he served as mayor of Canton.

In the 1920 congressional election , Millspaugh was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the first constituency of Missouri , where he succeeded Milton A. Romjue ( Democratic Party ) on March 4, 1921 . Since he lost to Romjue in 1922, he resigned from his mandate before the regular end of his legislative period on December 5, 1922.

Millspaugh was Treasury Secretary of the State of Missouri in 1923 and 1924. In 1925 he moved to Jefferson City , where he worked in the real estate business. Frank Millspaugh was a district judge in Jasper County from 1942 until his death on July 8, 1947 .
