Harry Marcy Coudrey

Harry Marcy Coudrey (born February 28, 1867 in Brunswick , Missouri , †  July 5, 1930 in Norfolk , Virginia ) was an American politician . Between 1906 and 1911 he represented the state of Missouri in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Harry Coudrey attended public schools in his home country and in St. Louis , where he had moved with his parents in 1878. In this city he attended the Manual Training School until 1886 . He then worked in various industries. At the same time he began a political career as a member of the Republican Party . Between 1897 and 1899 he was a member of the St. Louis City Council.

In the congressional election of 1904 , he lost to Ernest E. Wood in the twelfth constituency of Missouri . But Coudrey appealed against the outcome of the election. When this was met, he was able to take over the mandate from Wood on June 23, 1906. After two re-elections, he could remain in Congress until March 3, 1911 . In 1910, Coudrey renounced another candidacy. After leaving the US House of Representatives, he moved to New York , where he worked in the real estate and insurance industries. He also worked in the publishing business. He died in Norfolk on July 5, 1930.
