The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 55th time in 1932/33 . The most important football cup competition in Scottish club football was directed and hosted by the Scottish Football Association. He started on 18 January 1933 and ended with the final on April 15, 1933 Hampden Park of Glasgow . The defending champions were the Glasgow Rangers , who won against FC Kilmarnock in the final last year . The Rangers were eliminated in the round of 16 against the Killies , who returned the favor for the final defeat. In this year's Scottish Cup final, Celtic Glasgow and Motherwell FC faced each other. For Celtic it was the 20th final in the Scottish Cup since 1889 . The FC Motherwell reached for the second time after 1931 the final. The Bhoys won the final 1-0 with a goal from Jimmy McGrory and thus the 14th cup victory. Well also lost the second final against Celtic after 1931. The Scottish Championship was won by the Rangers ahead of Motherwell , Celtic was fourth.
