The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 67th time in 1951/52 . The most important football cup competition in Scottish club football was directed and hosted by the Scottish Football Association. He started on January 26 in 1952 and ended with the final on 19 April 1952 at the Hampden Park of Glasgow . As the defending champion, Celtic Glasgow started the competition that had won against FC Motherwell in the final last year . In this year's Scottish Cup final, Motherwell FC and Dundee FC faced each other. For Well it was the 5th overall in the Scottish Cup after 1931 , 1933 , 1939 and 1951 . The Dees reached the final for the third time in the club's history after 1910 and 1925 . Motherwell won the final 4-0, the Scottish Cup for the first time after four defeats in the finals. In the 1951/52 season , Hibernian Edinburgh won the Scottish Championship for the 4th time . The two finalists took seventh and eighth place in the table. The League Cup was won by FC Dundee in the finals against the Glasgow Rangers .
