Winner and nominee of the French César film award in the category Best Original Screenplay (Meilleur scénario original) . The winners in this category for the first time (then the official name Meilleur scénario original et dialogue ) were chosen between 1983 and 1985, before being reintroduced under a different name from the award ceremony in 2016. In the years 1976 to 1982 and 1986 to 2005, original scripts and adapted scripts (film scripts based on another work such as a novel, a short story or another film) received an award in the Best Screenplay category.
