La Chapelle-Saint-Jean is a French commune with 91 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Dordogne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (before 2016 Aquitaine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarlat-la-Canéda (until 2017 Périgeux ) and the canton of Haut-Périgord Noir, which has existed since 2015 (until 2015 Hautefort ). The residents call themselves Chapelais .
