Villac ( Occitan : Vilhac ) is a southwestern French community ( commune ) with 266 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Le Lardin-Saint-Lazare is part of the Sarlat-la-Canéda arrondissement and the Haut-Périgord Noir canton .

location

Villac is located in the old cultural landscape of the Périgord on the border with the Limousin (Corrèze department) about 41 kilometers east of Périgueux and about 22 kilometers west of Brive-la-Gaillarde . The Elle River , a tributary of the Vézère , runs through the commune . Villac is surrounded by the neighboring communities Louignac in the north, Brignac-la-Plaine in the east, Cublac in the southeast, Terrasson-Lavilledieu in the south and southeast, Beauregard-de-Terrasson in the south, Peyrignac in the southwest, Châtres in the west and Badefols-d ' Ans in the northwest.

The A89 car route runs along the southern edge of the municipality .
