Nadaillac ( Occitan Nadalhac ) is composed of a main town and several farmsteads community with 376 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the southeast of the southern French departments of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine in the old cultural landscape of the Périgord .
location
Nadaillac is the easternmost commune in the Dordogne department. It is located about 30 km (driving distance) northeast of the city of Sarlat-la-Canéda or about 75 km southeast of Périgueux at an altitude of about 265 m above sea level. d. M. The climate is temperate and is influenced equally by the Atlantic and the mountains of the Massif Central ; Rain falls throughout the year.

For centuries, the residents of the community lived on the produce of their fields and gardens, self-sufficient ; In addition, cattle breeding, a little viticulture and the planting of chestnuts and nut trees were carried out. history
The former Romanesque priory church of Saint-Denis belonged to the Abbey of Saint-Amand-de-Coly . It is unclear whether the place, first mentioned in 1099 , was affected during the Hundred Years War (1337-1453) or during the Huguenot Wars (1562-1598). From the 16th century it belonged to the castellany and barony of Salignac .
