Boisseuilh ( Occitan Boissuelh ) is a place and a plurality of villages (hameaux) existing and individual farms municipality with a population of 120 (as of January 1, 2017) in the south of France Département Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .

Boisseuilh is a good 45 km (driving distance) northeast of Périgueux and almost 40 km northwest of Brive-la-Gaillarde in the historic province of Périgord at an altitude of about 245 m above sea level. d. The climate is temperate and is influenced equally by the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains of the Massif Central .

history
The first documented mention of the place name Boisolium comes from the year 1150. Around the same time, the local parish church was built, which is dedicated to Saint Valerius von Bernage, who is also almost unknown in France .
Attractions
A Gothic apse window was built into the parish church of Saint-Valéry , which was built in the 12th century from precisely hewn reddish sandstone . In the 17th century the church received a new portal in the classical style ; the bell gable was also renewed. The church is single-nave and has a flat-closing apse.
