Nailhac ( Occitan : Nalhac ) is a French commune with 333 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Dordogne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (before 2016 Aquitaine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Sarlat-la-Canéda (until 2017: Arrondissement Périgueux ) and to the canton of Haut-Périgord Noir, which has existed since 2015 (until 2015 Hautefort ). The residents call themselves Nailhacois .

Nailhac is located about 29 kilometers east-northeast of Périgueux . Neighboring municipalities are Hautefort in the north, Badefols-d'Ans in the east, Châtres in the southeast, La Chapelle-Saint-Jean in the south, Saint-Rabier in the south and southwest and Granges-d'Ans in the west.
