Saint-Aubin-de-Nabirat ( Occitan Sent Aubin de Nabirac ) is one of a main town and several surrounding villages (hamlets) existing and farmsteads community with 143 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the southeast of the southern French departments of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine in the old cultural landscape of the Périgord .

The place Saint-Aubin-de-Nabirat is a good 23 km (driving distance) southeast of the city of Sarlat-la-Canéda or about 85 km southeast of Périgueux at an altitude of about 205 m above sea level. d. history
Although a church already existed earlier, the first written mention of the old place name Sanctus Albanus comes from the year 1326. Whether the place was affected during the Hundred Years War (1337-1453) or during the Huguenot Wars (1562-1598) is unclear.
Attractions
- The town's old Romanesque church has a bell gable ; it was thoroughly restored and rebuilt in 2003 and now contains two apartments.
- The neo-Romanesque church, built around 1925, is consecrated to Joan of Arc, who was canonized a few years earlier (1920) . It also has a small bell gable with a bell cast in 1636.
Surroundings
- This was already documented in the 13th century, but after being destroyed during the wars of religion in the 16th and 17th. Château du Repaire, which was largely rebuilt in the 19th century, is located about two kilometers southwest of the town ( 44 ° 43 ′ 25 ″ N , 1 ° 16 ′ 36 ″ E ) and dominates the valley of the Céou River .
