The League 1 2014/15 was the 77th season of the highest Romanian football league . It started on July 25, 2014 and ended on May 30, 2015.

The defending champion was Steaua Bucharest .

The league 1 played with 18 teams. Subject to the withdrawal of licenses from other teams, the six last-placed teams were relegated to League II , from which four teams were promoted (the first two from each of the two seasons). There were three points for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a defeat. If two or more teams were tied at the end of the season, it was not the goal difference that decided , but the direct comparison.
