The 2012/13 OHL season was the 33rd season of the Ontario Hockey League . The regular season began on September 20, 2012 and ended on March 17, 2013. The London Knights won the Hamilton Spectator Trophy as the team with the highest points in the preliminary round . The play-offs began on March 21, 2013 and ended with the third J. Ross Robertson Cup win by the London Knights on May 13, 2013, who prevailed against the Barrie Colts in the OHL final . London winger Bo Horvat scored the winning goal in the decisive seventh game of the best-of-seven finals less than a second before the end of regular time. For the Knights it was the second championship in a row after the success of 2012 .

Team changes

The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors were sold to a new owner in May 2012 and renamed Mississauga Steelheads .
