The municipality is located about 12 kilometers south-southwest of Varese on the Arno River . The fractions Jerago and Orago belong to Jerago con Orago . The neighboring municipalities are Albizzate , Besnate , Cavaria con Premezzo , Oggiona con Santo Stefano , Solbiate Arno and Sumirago .

history

The first traces of settlement in the area of ​​the municipality date back to Roman times , as several finds suggest that it was inhabited by small communities of shepherds.
