The place is sometimes also called Roncola San Bernardo to distinguish it from the village of Roncola, part of the municipality of Treviolo . Roncola borders the municipality of Torre de 'Busi in the province of Lecco . The municipality lies on a hilltop to the valleys of the Valle Imagna and the Valle Brembana . The municipality is located about 25 kilometers northwest of Bergamo about halfway an imaginary line between Bergamo and Lecco .
