The inhabitants are called Bolhardais .

Rosay is located about 27 kilometers north-northeast of Rouen on the Varenne . Rosay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bellencombre in the north and north-west, Ventes-Saint-Rémy in the east and north-east, Saint-Saëns in the south and east, Beaumont-le-Hareng in the south-west and La Crique in the west and south-west.
