- June 30th : Abraham Roth and Edmund von Fellenberg climb the 3,643 m high Doldenhorn in the Bernese Alps for the first time with their guides Johann Bischoff, Kaspar Blatter, Christian Lauener and Gilgian Reichen .
- July 18 : After Johann Jakob Weilenmann had waited in vain for his mountain guide Nicodemus Klotz, he was the first to climb the 3,550 m high Ramolkogel in the Ötztal Alps .
- July 18 : Thomas Stuart Kennedy, William and C. Wigram with their guides Jean-Baptiste Croz and Johann Kronig climb the 4,357 m high Dent Blanche in the Valais Alps for the first time .
