The VW Worker is a medium-duty truck model series from the Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus brand , which is produced by the commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN Latin America for the South American market. It is based in large parts on components of the VW L80 or the earlier MAN-VW series VW G90 . Production takes place in the Brazilian plant in Resende .

Motorsport

Racing version

In the 2004 and 2005 seasons, VW also competed in truck races in Germany in the Super Race Truck class of the FIA European Cup . The cab of the VW Worker was used for the race truck. The car weighs 4.8 tons and has a 1,300 hp six-cylinder diesel engine with a capacity of twelve liters, which is mounted in the middle behind the driver's cab from the VW LT . In both years VW won the championship title with drivers Markus Oestreich and Ralf Druckermüller . The partner of the Wolfsburg manufacturer was the Deutsche Post World Net truck team.
