The VW Golf Sportsvan is a compact van from Volkswagen AG and the successor to the Golf Plus .
Like the Golf VII, for example, it is based on the modular transverse matrix . It offers five seats; the back seat can be moved lengthways.
The Sportsvan has been produced at the Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg since February 5, 2014 and also at FAW-Volkswagen in Foshan since February 1, 2016 .
In Ireland the vehicle is marketed as Golf SV .
history
Advance sales began on December 19, 2013, and delivery began on May 30, 2014. The cheapest Sportsvan cost 19,625 euros.

Equipment variants
There are five equipment variants : Trend , Comfort and Highline , the first two variants also for BlueMotion technology. Since February 2016, the Golf Sportsvan has also been available with an equipment package called R-Line .
The Golf Sportsvan is the first Volkswagen to be offered with an optional parking assistant (“Blind Spot Sensor plus”). When pulling out of a parking space, the driver can detect cars approaching from a distance of up to 40 m and, if necessary, initiate emergency braking. Progressive steering, heated steering wheel, infotainment system, mobile online services such as Google Earth , a UMTS - WLAN hotspot and adaptive chassis control DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) are available as special equipment. With adaptive chassis control, electrically operated valves in the shock absorbers change their characteristic curve, i.e. the frictional resistance for the oil flowing back and forth in the shock absorbers can be controlled.
Annual special models
For some VW models (e.g. Polo, Passat, Golf, Golf Sportsvan) Volkswagen has released a special annual model. They are a little better equipped than the Comfortline equipment package, but cheaper than a vehicle with the same equipment for which you have ordered these equipment individually. Volkswagen puts the price advantage of the VW Sportsvan at "up to 3,900 euros" (→ discount policy ).
In 2015 the annual special model was called Lounge , 2016 Allstar , 2017 Sound , 2018 Join , 2019 IQ.DRIVE and 2020 United.
