The VW Lamando is a four-door coupé sold by the Volkswagen brand . The model was created on the basis of the Golf VII and, like it, is based on the modular transverse matrix .
history
The Lamando was shown for the first time as a New Midsize Sedan study at Auto China , while Volkswagen presented the production version at the Chengdu Auto Show 2014. The model has been built in China for the Chinese market since November 2014 . Volkswagen showed the sporty GTS variant at Auto China 2016; it went on sale in China in summer 2016. A revised version of the Lamando was presented at the Chengdu Auto Show in September 2018.

Technical specifications
With the launch were two Otto engines for Lamando available: A 1.4-liter TSI - petrol engine with a power of 96 kW (131 hp) or 110 kW (150 hp) or a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with TSI an output of 132 kW (179 hp). The sporty GTS variant with a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine and an output of 162 kW (220 PS) followed in summer 2016.
