The VW Tayron X is a crossover SUV from Volkswagen . The vehicle based on the VW Tayron went on sale in China in July 2020 .

history

The vehicle was presented as a near-series model VW SUV Coupé Concept during the premiere of the VW Touareg III in March 2018. The series model based on the MQB platform was finally presented in April 2020. Since July 2020, it has been sold exclusively on the Chinese market. The model is built by FAW-Volkswagen .

After the Teramont X, the Tayron X is the second Volkswagen model to be marketed as an SUV coupé. With the VW Nivus and the VW Tiguan X , further models with a flat roof have already been announced.

Technical specifications

To launch the SUV with a two-liter was TSI - gasoline engine available in two power levels. They both have a 7-speed dual clutch transmission . The weaker 330 TSI has front-wheel drive , the more powerful 380 TSI all-wheel drive .
