history
The VW Lavida Plus presented at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2018 is the almost identical variant to the Bora from Shanghai Volkswagen , Volkswagen's other joint venture in China. Both versions are based on the VW Jetta VII , which was presented at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2018 . This is why the Bora is based for the first time on the modular transverse matrix from Volkswagen AG . It has been built in a new factory in Qingdao since June 2018 .
In October 2019, a version with an electric motor was introduced with the e-Bora .
The previous model VW (New) Bora , introduced in 2007, will initially continue to be built like the previous model of the Lavida Plus.
Technical specifications
The sedan is powered either by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with an output of 85 kW (116 hp) or a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with turbocharger and an output of 110 kW (150 hp).
