The VW Caddy (9KV) , also known as the VW Caddy II, is a car model from the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand of the Volkswagen Group . It was produced as a panel van and high-roof station wagon from 1995 to 2003 in parallel with the VW Caddy (9U) . The predecessor is the VW Caddy (14D) , the successor to the VW Caddy (2K) .

history

The second-generation panel van or high-roof station wagon (type 9KV) was offered from the end of 1995 to mid-2003.

The model was a badge engineered version of the Seat Inca , which in turn shares the PQ23 / A03 platform with models such as the VW Polo (type 6N) and the Seat Ibiza (type 6K) / Cordoba (6K / 6C) . Like its model, it was manufactured by Seat in Martorell ( Spain ). The adaptations to the Volkswagen design were limited to the design of the front, roof antenna, instrument panel and seat covers. The Caddy (9KV) was built as a two-seater panel van and a five-seater high-roof combination with panoramic glazing and an asymmetrical rear door. Floor pan and technology come from the Seat Inca, the engines of both models were taken from the Volkswagen shelf.
