Volker Fischer (fencer)
Volker Fischer (born August 15, 1950 in Iserlohn ) is a German fencer .
Fischer, a member of FC Tauberbischofsheim , was part of the German Degen team that won the gold medal in the team competition at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles . In 1976 and 1988 he won the silver medal with the team.
Fischer celebrated his greatest individual success in 1987 when he became individual world champion in men's epee in Lausanne .
