Brenscheid is a court in Halver in the Märkischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Arnsberg in Germany .

Location and description

Brenscheid is located northwest of the main town of Halveran at 384 above sea ​​level east of the Ennepe valley . The place can be reached via secondary roads that branch off from the federal road 229 or the state road 528 and connect other localities. history

Brenscheid was first mentioned in a document in the years 900 and 1050, but the origin of the settlement is assumed to be between 693 and 750 during the Saxon - Franconian border disputes.

In 1818 nine residents lived in the village. In 1838 Brenscheid belonged to the Eickhöfer peasantry within the Halver mayor .
