Büchermühle is a district and a former water mill in Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The book mill is 340  m above sea level. NHN in western Halver on the Ennepe . The place can be reached via a driveway that branches off the Bundesstraße 229 at Niederennepe and which also connects the neighboring villages of Kreimendahl , Nonnenennepe and Büchen . Other neighboring towns are Büchenbaum , Hohenplanken , Eschen , Auf den Eicken , Eickerschmitte , Eickerhöhe , Ober- and Niederhövel .

The waterwheel of the mill is still in operation and generates by means of a generator electricity .

history

The book mill was first mentioned in a document in 1540, the date of origin of today's settlement is believed to be between 1400 and 1500 as a result of the late medieval expansion period. The book mill is a split from the Büchen court .

In 1818 six people lived in the village. In 1838, Büchermühle belonged to the Eickhöfer peasantry under the name Beuckermühle within the Halver mayor . The place, categorized as Malmühle an der Ennepe according to the locality and distance table of the government district Arnsberg , had two houses and a factory or mill at that time. At that time, eight people lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

The community encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of five residents who lived in a residential building.
