Mannebach is a municipality in the Vulkaneifel district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the association community Kelberg .
history
Mannebach is first mentioned in 1336. It belonged to the county of Virneburg . 1350 is a Thylgen von Mannebach feudal man of the county. The inheritance of the Counts of Virneburg came in 1556 that of Manderscheid-Schleiden. Ecclesiastically, the place belonged to the parish of Retterath . This is where the Virneburg High Court (responsible for criminal matters) was located, in which Mannebach was represented in the 15th century by a Heimburgen (probably local chief). In the 16th century, Mannebach was the center of the so-called Vogtei Mannebach , d. H. a regional administration.

Buildings
In the Mannebach community forest, prehistoric barrows and Roman burials were found that suggest an early settlement. The chapel is dedicated to the Exaltation of the Cross and Saint Sebastian. It was built in 1772. There are several basalt crosses from the 18th century and a wayside shrine from the 17th century.

Awards
In 2009 Mannebach took part in the village competition " Our village has a future " in the main class. Mannebach took 1st place at the end of the circle. This was followed by a 2nd place in the regional decision.
museum
There has been a private farming museum in Mannebach since 1992. In the lovingly converted stables of his parents, Helmut Müller exhibits tools, implements and machines from agriculture in his considerable collection, some of which date from the 19th and first half of the 20th century. Among other things, devices that belonged to a rural cobbler's workshop and a home oven ("Backes").
