Reasons for the coat of arms: The golden and red colors of the coat of arms indicate the medieval affiliation of Reuth to the County of Manderscheid-Blankenheim . The blue-silver wavy bar in the lower part of the coat of arms symbolizes the Reuther Bach, which has the same name as the place. The place name Reuth is traced back to a medieval clearing . The ax is in the front field for the clearing and the place name. For the patron of the place and the small chapel, the three golden spheres and the miter stand as attributes of St. Nicholas . |
