The Stringer & Co. Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer based in Sheffield, Yorkshire from 1913 to 1928 .

Before the First World War , automobiles were built under the Winco name .
In 1921 the small car 9 hp appeared , which was offered as Stringer-Winco . The four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1088 cm³ came from the engine manufacturer Alpha. From 1923 the brand name Stringer-Smith was used. In 1924 the 11 hp supplemented the range. Its engine had a capacity of 1330 cc. From 1926, a version with a shortened wheelbase of the 11 hp is said to have been available.
These two models were built until 1928.
There was also the 11.9 hp . The car had an overhead steering four-cylinder in-line engine with 1.8 l displacement and a wheelbase of 2692 mm.
