Dobšice (German Dobschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers southeast of Týn nad Vltavou .
history
The first written evidence comes from 1437 from a confirmation of Emperor Sigismund for Diepolt von Riesenberg about his legacy. In 1528 Oldřich Radkovský z Mirovic became lord of Dobšice, followed by other noble families, including the Sternbergs , until the place came to the Schwarzenbergs in 1711 .
In 1909 the Dobšice volunteer fire brigade was founded, which is also very active culturally and organizes the fire brigade ball and summer parties for the children.
In the east of the village is a former military training area that the community wants to take over.
The Branovice manor belongs to the municipality and was mentioned as early as 1396 as a property of the Žimutice manor . The Berní rula identified it as a noble residence in 1654. After several changes of ownership, the property belonging to the farm was divided up during the land reform in the First Republic after 1920 and the farm was sold to Matěj Sýkorov, whose descendants still own it.
In Dobšice there is a local library and a culture house, which is the center of village life and was renovated in 1989. There is also a grocery store.
