history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1346, when Havel, called Kon von Nedabil , left the income from the Nedabil suburb of the church in Střížov . The following year the village belonged to the possessions of the Vladiken von Komařice . Beneš von Komařice left the Strádov estate to his son of the same name in 1347, after which he acquired the title Strádovec von Komařice. In 1450, the entire estate of Odolen von Komařice consisted only of the village of Nedabyle. After the death of Jan von Komařice 1457 fell Nedabyle to King Vladislav II. Home . The following owners were the Vladiken von Doudleby . At the beginning of the 16th century the expansion of the Rudolfstadt silver deposit to Vidov was recognized; at Nedabyle the silver mine St. Anna and in 1522 the golden stag were added. In 1522 Peter von Doudleby sold the Doudleby estate with the farms Kmetec, Straňany, Borovnice, Perná, Nedabyle and Strážkovice to Wenzel Metelský von Felsdorf. He finally sold the property to the city of Budweis. In 1788 a school was set up in Daubrawitz Castle , in which the children from Hodowitz , Nedabyle, Vidov , Nová Ves , Hůrka and Roudné were also taught. Silver mining finally came to a standstill in 1835. In 1836 the construction of the Kaiserstraße from Budweis to Gratzen began . In 1840 Nedabile / Hables consisted of 23 houses with 128 inhabitants. 22 houses were the city of Budweis and one which is also the city associated landtäfligen servants Good Daubrawitz. The parish was Driesendorf . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always subject to Budweis.

After the abolition of patrimonial Nedabyle / Hables formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Doubravice in the district administration Budějovice / Budweis. Several iron mines were operated at the Goldener Hirsch in the second half of the 19th century. 1869 took Emperor Franz Joseph Railway on the railway Budweis - Gmünd to operation. In 1910 the village had 271 inhabitants, including 267 Czechs and four Germans. In 1911 a building cooperative was formed for a chapel. Between 1912 and 1913, Nedabyle had its own primary school, whose catchment area included Nová Ves and Hůrka. Between 1932 and 1933 the new district road to České Budějovice was built. In 1934 Nedabyle broke away from Doubravice and formed its own community. During the German occupation in 1943, Nedabyle was again forcibly incorporated into Doubravice, which was repealed on August 9, 1945 after the end of the Second World War.

On Saturday, May 5, 1945, a convoy coming from Budweis with the remains of an SS cavalry division reached the village in the evening and took up position in defense of the road between Neudorf and Budweis. The fire chief Vávra then tried together with the blacksmith Bartáček to prevent the SS from guarding the street. They also made an attempt to prevent three German vehicles from continuing their journey by pouring sugar into their tanks. The Germans then opened fire. In the hail of bullets, the local fire chief František Vávra, the village blacksmith January Bartáček and the two railway workers Ferdinand Kuna and Václav Uhlíček from died from 19:30 Kladno . • Memorial of the Nedabyler tragedy , in the center of the village behind the bus stop. The monument was laid out in 1975 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the liberation and the memorial stone of the fallen soldiers of the First World War that had previously stood on the street was moved and a plaque with the names and pictures of the dead on May 5, 1945 attached to the base. A concrete wall was built on both sides of the memorial stone. This bears the year 1938 on the left and below a sculpture of socialist realism and on the right the year 1945 and below a Soviet star. After the Velvet Revolution, the memorial was deliberately removed from the field of view of the town center by building a bus shelter and the wall was covered with climbing plants as a symbol of the communist era. The memorial is not maintained by the community, only the memorial stone is visible.
