history

The first written mention of Witkowich took place in 1263. The following year, exchanged the Vladike Stir de Wetkowitz ( STYR for Kvítkovic ) in Písek the village Bohdanitz ( Bohdanice ) at King Ottokar II. Přemysl against Haber and Wesec ( Horní Vesce ) a. Later the estate was attached to Habers. From 1443 Jan Raubik von Hlawatetz auf Habří and Dubné belonged to the following owners , he was a follower of the robber baron Jan Smil von Krems . He was followed by his son Ulrich Raubik, who also used the Haber title . At the beginning of the 16th century, the Habří and Dubné goods belonged jointly to the brothers Nikolaus, Ctibor and Ulrich Raubik. In the distribution of property in 1523, Nicholas received half of the festivals and the court including the subjects in Dubné, Slavče, Branišov and Kvítkovice. At the beginning of the 17th century Melchior Kalchrayter united both halves of the Habří estate, including the associated villages Habří, Kvítkovice and Slavče. As a participant in the class uprising of 1618 , the Protestant Kalchrayter was punished with the loss of his property after the Battle of White Mountain in 1622. These were initially assured as pledge to the Budweiser Nikolaus Schanz von Einsenpichl, but in 1623 the imperial court asked him to waive his claims in favor of the Hohenfurth monastery . On May 23, 1623 the imperial court sold the Kalchrayter goods to the Hohenfurter abbot Gandolf Scheidinger. The Hohenfurt Cistercians combined the newly acquired goods Sedlo, Stradov, Habří and Čakovec with their Komařice estate to form the Komařice monastery. In 1644 the abbot Georg Wendschuh had an allegedly miraculous spring in the forest southwest of the village a St. Vitus built a pilgrimage chapel. In 1840 Kwitkowitz consisted of 22 houses with 205 inhabitants, eleven of which were subject to the Nettolitz rule. A single-tier inn and the Neumühle belonged to the village . The parish was Duben . Until the middle of the 19th century, Kwitkowitz always remained part of the Komařice monastery.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Kvítkovice / Kwitkowitz with the district Čakovec / Small Čakov 1850 a municipality in the district of Budweis . In 1914 there were 286 people living in the parish. Kvítkovice had 154 Czech-speaking residents, 132 people lived in Čakovec. The goods were owned by the Hohenfurth monastery until 1918. During the German occupation , Kvítkovice was incorporated into Čakov in 1943 , which was repealed after the end of the Second World War. On June 14, 1964, Kvítkovice was incorporated into Lipí and the district of Čakovec after Jankov . After a referendum, Kvítkovice has formed its own municipality again since January 1st, 1993.
