Seherleins , Selierleyns , Sacherleins , Saherlins , Saeherleins , Zchlins and Zahylays . The place name is derived from the old German word saher ( sedge ). In 1465 the Czech place name can be found for the first time as Wes Kammena ; In 1486 the place was named Kamen , 1530 Zachalas , 1548 Kameny and 1720 Sehrles . In 1840, 270 people lived in the 38 houses of Sacherles . There was an inn, two mills and an old ruined castle in the village. The village was parish to Deutsch Reichenau . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always subject to the Hohenfurth monastery .

After the abolition of patrimonial, Sacherles formed a community in the Kaplitz district authority from 1850 . Between 1869 and 1890 Sacherles formed a district of Deutsch Reichenau / Německý Rychnov. The municipality of Sacherles / Kamení was established in 1890; the Czech name was changed to Kamenná in 1921. In 1930 Sacherles had 238 inhabitants, in 1939 there were 225. As a result of the Munich Agreement , the municipality was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the German district of Kaplitz until 1945 . After the end of the Second World War, Kamenná came back to Czechoslovakia and the German residents were expelled. In 1948 the Okres Kaplice was dissolved and the village was added to the newly formed Okres Trhové Sviny, which was repealed twelve years later. In 1960 Kondrač and Klažary were incorporated, and at the same time the municipality was assigned to Okres České Budějovice. On January 1, 1976, Kamenná was incorporated into Trhové Sviny .
