history

According to the city archivist Reinhold Huyer, the nine farmsteads belonged to the Zabore ( Záboří ) farm, which was documented as the property of the Čéč von Budivojovice in 1263, or even formed it. The farm later became the property of the city of Budweis , but remained a sovereign fief.

The first written mention of Hrudny took place on April 3, 1411 in the course of the inheritance of the late Kunc von Mlade. Owner of the farm was in the second half of the 14th century, the Budweiser citizen Nicholas septic fish whose son Stephan Hrudny the grocer Jakub Brníř sold 1418th Then Hrudny belonged to various nobles. From 1487 the farm belonged again to Budweiser citizens. Between 1501 and 1505 the city of Budweis bought both halves of the village from Benesch Klaritz ( Beneš Klaric ) and Ladislaw Schititz ( Ladislav Šitéř ). After Matthias Ramschissl's death, a protracted dispute ensued over the Ramschissl farm , which the city was finally able to regain in 1539. A little later the farm was dissolved and divided. Until 1713 the place consisted of nine farms and grew afterwards. In 1840 Ruden / Raudne consisted of 23 houses with 153 inhabitants. Two rustic chalets ( Lorenc ) in the south belonged to the place . The parish was Payreschau . Until the middle of the 19th century the village was always subject to the city of Budweis.

After the abolition of patrimonial Ruden / Roudné formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Rožnov / Strodenitz in the district administration and the judicial district Budějovice / Budweis. In 1869 the village consisted of 31 houses and had 194 inhabitants. In 1885 Ruden broke away from Rožnov and formed its own community. In 1910 Ruden / Roudné had 198 inhabitants, of which 157 were German and 41 were Czech. The village belonged to the German-speaking island around Budweis. After the establishment of Czechoslovakia in 1918, there was an increasing influx of Czechs. In 1930 Roudné consisted of 71 houses and had 295 inhabitants, including 216 Czechs and 78 Germans. On January 1, 1953, Vidov was incorporated. In the 1960s, the Budweiser Nové Roudné district emerged between Roudné and Rožnov. Since the 1980s, Roudné grew together with Nové Roudné, with a settlement also called Nové Roudné being built in the corridors of Roudné. The village school was closed in 1976. After a referendum, Vidov broke up on November 24, 1990 and has since formed its own community. In the 1991 census, 458 people lived in Roudné's 128 houses; the village Roudné consisted of 80 houses with 295 inhabitants, the settlement Nové Roudné consisted of 48 houses with 163 inhabitants. In 2001 there were 171 houses with 554 inhabitants in the municipality. In 2009 a new bridge was built over the Maltsch. Today Roudné has the character of a suburb of České Budějovice.
