Petříkov (German Petersin ) is a municipality in Okres České Budějovice in the Czech Republic. It is located on the Stropnice , nine kilometers east of Trhové Sviny . Petříkov is surrounded by extensive forest areas. A pond area extends to the west towards Olešnice .

The municipality of Petříkov consists of the districts Petříkov and Těšínov ( Tieschin ) as well as the settlement Jiříkovo Údolí ( Georgenthal ) and the residential areas Lospecen, Terezín, U Koudelů, U Kudlátů, U Řežábů, U Svitáků.

history
Petersin was created in 1790 in the course of the establishment of the town during the reclamation and settlement of the large swamp forests of the Gratzen rule by Johann Graf Buquoy . The Georgenthal glassworks was founded at the beginning of the 19th century.
After patrimonial was replaced in 1850, Petersin belonged to the municipality of Tieschin together with Georgenthal and Nepomuk. The railway line from Pilsen to Vienna , established in 1869, ran along the Stropnice through the town.
In 1913 there were 364 people in Petersin, 342 of them Czechs and 22 Germans. The population was 165 in Nepomuk and 267 in Tieschin, all of whom belonged to the Czech ethnic group. Of the 16 Georgenthalers, 14 were Germans and two Czechs.
