Hradce (German Hradzen ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located ten kilometers southwest of České Budějovice in South Bohemia and belongs to the Okres České Budějovice .

geography

Hradce is located on the right side above the valley of the brook Dehtářský potok on a plateau in the eastern foothills of Blanský les . In the south rises the Švehlany (520 m), southwest the Kašparka (612 m) and the Kluk (740 m), in the west the Haberský vrch (718 m). The railway line České Budějovice – Černý Kříž runs south of the village, the Hradce railway station is 500 m outside the village in the Paniny forest .

Neighboring towns are Lipí in the north, U Zajíčka and Kaliště u Lipí in the northeast, Závraty , Nové Homole and Dvůr Koroseky in the east, U Nové Hospody, Koroseky and Vrábče in the south-east, U Veverků, U Zastávky, Zahrádky and Zahrádka in the south, Nařádka Padělků and Slavče in the south-west, U Konopí, Hastrman, Povišer, Adámek and Chmelná in the west and Cihlář, Ludvík, Vobr and Habří in the north-west.

history

To the north of the village, remains of an early settlement from the Bronze , Hallstatt and Latène ages were found in the Travní corridor . Not far from it, a barrow from the time around 750–500 BC was found at the U Zajíčka single layer . Discovered, in which a Hallstatt-era princely grave is suspected.

The first written mention of the village took place in 1375 in a deed of three Huben forest and two ponds in Hradcziich . In 1840 the rule was to Krumlov humble Dominikaldorf Hradzen / Hradec of six houses with 39 residents. The parish was in Duben , and school lessons were held in Prabsch .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Na Hradci / Hradzen 1850 a settlement of the community Vrábče in the district administration Budějovice / Budweis. At the end of the 19th century, the village was temporarily called Hradec . In 1891 the local line Budweis - Gojau, built by the Austrian Local Railway Company , began operating south of the village . In 1914 there were 33 Czech-speaking people living in the village. In 1924 the official place name was changed from Na Hradci to Hradce . On June 12, 1960, the village was separated from Vrábče and reunited with Homole . Since November 24, 1990, Hradce has formed its own municipality for the first time in its history.
