history

The village was probably founded in the 11th century, its name is derived from the personal name Mladoš . The first written mention of the parish village Mladssouicz was made in 1367 as the property of the Augustinian monastery in Wittingau in Třeboň. After its secularization, the village fell under the rule of Wittingau in 1567. After the death of Peter Wok von Rosenberg , the Rosenberg inheritance fell to Johann Georg von Schwanberg in 1612 . At the beginning of the Thirty Years' War , Peter von Schwanberg supported the rebellious estates. In 1619 the army of the Imperial General Charles Bonaventure de Longueval, Comte de Bucquoy invaded the area and devastated it. After the defeat in the Battle of White Mountain , Wittingau became the center of the rebels, which resisted the attacks of the imperial troops until March 1622. After that, Peter von Schwanberg's goods were confiscated and fell to the Habsburgs , who carried out the Counter-Reformation . The Augustinian monastery in Wittingau was reopened in 1631 and Mladoschowitz was returned to the monastery property . After the parish expired, the church became a branch of the Wittingau parish in the same year. As part of the Josephine reforms, the monastery was abolished in 1785. At the same time, a parish was set up again in Mladošovice by the Religious Fund. In 1787, Prince Johann I. zu Schwarzenberg acquired the monastery property and added it to his rule Wittingau as Gut Wittingau. The school was established in 1823. In 1840 Mladoschowitz consisted of 41 houses with 288 inhabitants. 35 of them were subordinate to the Wittingau estate , four to the Komařitz estate and two to the Krumlov domain . The parish church, a parsonage and a school existed in the village under lordly patronage. Mladoschowitz was the parish for Hrachowischt , Kojakowitz ( Kojákovice ), Lhota and Petrowitz ( Petrovice ). Iron ore was mined in the vicinity of the village and delivered to the ironworks Josephsthal near Chlumetz . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained largely subject to the Wittingau estate.

After the abolition of patrimonial Mladošovice / Mladoschowitz formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district Třeboň / Wittingau. In 1910 the village had 372 inhabitants, 370 of whom were Czech. In 1929 the Třeboň - Borovany bus line was started and the line was operated by the local haulier Veigl. In the course of the abolition of the Okres Třeboň, Mladošovice was assigned to the Okres České Budějovice at the beginning of 1961 . On January 1, 1976 Petrovice was incorporated and at the same time Lhota was umgemeindet from Vlachnovice to Mladošovice.
