history

The first written mention of Branischow took place in 1391. The place name is an abbreviation of Branišův dvůr ( court of Branislaw ). Branišov was divided between different lords since the 14th century. One part belonged to the Doubíčko Fortress and another part to the Třebín Manor. Different noble families took turns as owners of both parts. In 1548 Georg, Christoph, Adam and Joachim Kořensky von Teressow sold the Doubíčko fortress with the associated share from Branišov to the city of Budweis . The single layer Doubská Bašta ( Hluchá Bašta ) was built in the 16th century between the Návesný rybník and Novohaklovský rybník as the dwelling of the pond keeper of the town ponds . After the Battle of White Mountain , the Třebín estate, which belonged to Hynek Vamberský von Rohatce, was confiscated for participating in the uprising of 1618 and sold to the city of Budweis in 1623. With that, the city owned almost the entire village. Martin Jauker's single-layer farm was built in 1799. Over time, the place was called Wranyssow , Branissow , Wranissowicze , Braniczow , Pranischen , Branischen , Vranišov and Branšov . In 1840 Branischen or Pranischen / Branssow or Pranssow consisted of 29 houses with 209 inhabitants. 25 of them belonged to the city of Budweis and two each to the dominions of Frauenberg and Krumau . To the west of the village, the Budweiser share included the Dominikal settlement Vier Diebe ( Jetnoty ), which was laid out on emphyteutic grounds of the Neuhof Meierhof, as well as two single-layer rustic farmhouses. The parish was Duben . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always divided between the city of Budweis and the dominions of Frauenberg and Krumau.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Branšov / Branischen 1850 a municipality in the district of Ceske Budejovice and in the judicial district of Budweis . In 1910 there were 226 inhabitants in Branšov and Branišov / Branischen , including 215 Czechs and 8 Germans. Branišov has been used exclusively as a Czech place name since 1924 . On March 25, 1943 Branišov was incorporated into Dubné, this was repealed after the end of the Second World War in 1945. On June 12, 1960 a new incorporation took place after Dubné. After a referendum, Branišov broke away from Dubné at the beginning of 1994.
