Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance , in German "Grammy Award for the best pop solo performance", is a music prize that has been awarded at the annual Grammy Awards since 2012 . The award goes to artists for solo performances, including vocal performances or instrumental performances from the pop music field. The price is limited to individual tracks or singles.

For the Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance, the Grammys awarded until 2011 for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance , Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Instrumental Performance were merged, as the NARAS significantly reduce the number of categories and the separation by gender and, in some cases, the Wanted to abolish the separation of vocal and instrumental performances in the categories.

Four interpreters have been nominated three times so far. The British singer Adele was the only one to win all three prizes, Lady Gaga received one award, Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson remained without a Grammy.
