Henriville (German Herrchweiler ) is a French commune with 753 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Forbach-Boulay-Moselle arrondissement and the Freyming-Merlebach municipal association .
geography
Henriville is five kilometers south of the Saarland border (near Naßweiler ). The municipal area of only 4 km² is bordered by forest to the west, south and east, in the north Henriville, together with the municipalities of Seingbouse and Farébersviller, has a share in the 100 hectare industrial park Megazone Moselle-Est . In the north, the Henrivilles area is drained by the Kochernbach , which flows into the Saar via the Rossel , and the Weihergraben , a tributary of the Mutterbach , which flows over the Albe to the Saar, rises in the southeast of the municipality . Henriville thus lies on a watershed between the two source brooks that flow in opposite directions . The areas around the village are used for agriculture (arable farming and pastures).
Neighboring communities of Henriville are Farébersviller in the north, Farschviller in the southeast and Seingbouse in the west.
history
Henriville was founded by Henry II of Lorraine (Henri II. De Lorraine) in 1608. Between 1811 and 1847, Henriville was part of the parish of Farébersville .

Economy and Infrastructure
Today Henriville is a residential community for many employees of the surrounding industrial companies. Agriculture only plays a subordinate role and is used for self-sufficiency.
Chemical companies and freight forwarders, among others, have set up shop in the Megazone Moselle-Est industrial park north of the municipality. The park benefits from the favorable transport links to the Paris-Strasbourg motorway ( Farébersviller connection ), not far from the junction to Saarbrücken .
The D 29 trunk road leads through Henriville from Cocheren to Insming . The nearest train station is in the neighboring municipality of Farébersviller on the Béning - Sarreguemines - Bitche line .
