The regional constituency of Bochum III - Herne II is a regional constituency in North Rhine-Westphalia . It includes the municipal electoral districts of the Bochum-Mitte district

  • 12 North city center / Schmechtingwiese
  • 15 Gold Hammer / Stahlhausen
  • 16 Hamme / Hordel
  • 18 Hofstede

as well as the district of Bochum - Wattenscheid without the municipal electoral district 26 Eppendorf / Munscheid and the district of Herne- Eickel.

The constituency emerged from the former area of Bochum III , which included only Wattenscheid. For the state elections in 2000, the area was expanded to include parts of central Bochum, after the Bochum IV state electoral district was dissolved. By reducing the number of constituencies for the 2005 state elections, the constituency was created in its current form.
