Le Bouchage is a French municipality with 166 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Confolens and the canton Charente-Bonnieure (until 2015 Champagne-Mouton ). The inhabitants are called Bouchageois .

Le Bouchage is about 46 kilometers north-northeast of Angoulême . Le Bouchage is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Surin in the north, Chatain in the east and northeast, Benest in the east and southeast, Vieux-Ruffec in the south, Nanteuil-en-Vallée in the west and Genouillé in the north-west.
