The list of territorial changes in the Ruhr area from 1901 to 1925 contains important changes to the municipal areas in the Ruhr area in the period from January 1, 1901 to December 31, 1925. These include, among other things, amalgamations and separations of communities, integration of communities into another, changes the parish name and major reclassifications from parts of one parish to another.
Legend
- Date : date of legal effect of the change of area
- Municipality before the change : Municipality before the area change
- Action : Type of change
- Municipality after the change : Municipality after the area change
- District : District of the municipality after the change of area
The sorting is done chronologically: date, independent cities, rural districts, receiving or newly formed municipality. Communities that still exist today are highlighted in color.
