List of territorial changes in the Ruhr area from 1926 to 1945

The list of territorial changes in the Ruhr area from 1926 to 1945 contains important changes to the municipal areas in the Ruhr area in the period from January 1, 1926 to December 31, 1945. These include, among other things, amalgamations and separations of communities, incorporation of communities into another, changes the parish name and major reclassifications from parts of one parish to another.

  • Municipality after the change : Municipality after the area change
  • District : District of the municipality after the change of area

The sorting is done chronologically: date, independent cities, rural districts, receiving or newly formed municipality. Communities that still exist today are highlighted in color.
