Pampelonne ( Occitan : Pampalona ) is a French commune with 851 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Pampelonne belongs to the Arrondissement of Albi and the canton of Carmaux-1 Le Ségala (until 2015: canton of Pampelonne ).
geography
Pampelonne is located about 23 kilometers north-northeast of Albi on the Viaur , which forms the northwestern municipal boundary. Pampelonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Crespin in the north, Tauriac-de-Naucelle in the north-east, Tanus in the east, Moularès in the south-east, Saint-Jean-de-Marcel in the south, Sainte-Gemme in the west and south-west and Mirandol-Bourgnounac in the north-west.
