In addition, the loading sill was lowered by over 5 cm. For the BMW 6 Series GT , a c w value between 0.25 ( 630d GT , 620d GT ) and 0.27 ( 640i xDrive GT , 640d xDrive GT ) is given with a frontal area of 2.54 m²; exemplary comparison: The frontal area of the VW Golf VII is 2.19 m².

landing gear

Aluminum is also used for both axes. The rear axle is a double-elastic five-link axle ; the vehicle has level control and air suspension for the rear axle as standard, and at an extra charge also the adaptive 2-axle air suspension, which uses navigation data with the appropriate equipment; it is available with rear-axle steering on request . All wheels are braked with ventilated disc brakes, with the front four-piston and the rear single-piston calipers; braking distances of 32.2 m were measured from 100 to 0 km / h.

drive

At the time of its market launch, the 6 Series Gran Turismo was available in three engine variants: two turbo-charged gasoline engines with a displacement of 2.0 liters or 3.0 liters and a 3.0 liter diesel engine . The 3.0-liter engines are in-line six-cylinder engines and are also available in the xDrive all-wheel drive version .
