Süderau is a municipality in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . The community includes the places Süderau, Süderauerdorf and Steinburg.

Geography and traffic

Süderau is directly east of Krempe and thus ten kilometers south of Itzehoe and twelve kilometers northwest of Elmshorn between the federal highway 431 and the federal highway 23 . The Kremper Au flows through the municipality.

Stone castle

In the district Steinburg was located from the 14th to 17th century stone castle .
