Aulhof is a district of Overath in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

Location and description

Aulhof with its modern detached houses can no longer be recognized as an independent small town. It is located in the Aggertal , not far from the center of Overath, between the bridge and the water . Locations nearby are the higher places Kram and Rittberg .

history

The place was only created in the second half of the 19th century. From the Prussian new admission in 1892, the place is regularly recorded as Aulhof on measuring table sheets .

The municipality and estate district statistics of the Rhine Province lists Aulhof 1871 with two houses and four residents. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, two houses with five residents are given for Aulhof . In 1895 the place had two houses with five inhabitants, in 1905 two houses and three inhabitants are given.

From the second half of the 20th century, the vacant lot between Aulhof and the neighboring water was closed, so that today both form a closed settlement area.
