history

A cadastral map from 1860 shows that the place under the name Teich was part of the Löderich community in the Overath mayor's office in the Mülheim am Rhein district . The Prussian first recording from 1845 shows the living space unlabeled, also on the measuring table sheets of the Prussian new recording until 1949. From this edition the place is regularly listed as Immekeppelerteich .

The place, which was categorized as an isolated house in 1845 according to the overview of the government district of Cologne , had a residential building with eight inhabitants under the name Immekeppelerdeich , all of them Catholic denominations.

The list of residents and livestock from 1848, which was mainly used to collect taxes, gives a little insight into living conditions at that time. Thereafter 11 people lived in Immekeppelerteich, including 5 children. According to the official census, only the farmer and tenant Johann Zimmermann owned cattle: 1 cow, 1 calf . Peter Schwamborn and Wittib Christian Odenthal were listed as day laborers and Johann Remshagen as without trade . Whereby Odenthal and Remshagen were also marked with the official note poor .

The municipal and Gutbezirksstatistik the Rhine Province leads Immekeppelerteich 1871 with two houses and ten inhabitants. In the municipality encyclopedia for the Rhineland province of 1888, two houses with eleven inhabitants are given for Immekeppelerteich . In 1895 the place had two houses with twelve inhabitants, in 1905 two houses and seven inhabitants are given.

In 1961 one of the three scattered settlements of Transylvanian Saxony was established in Immekeppelerteich .
