Weyerhof is a district of Marialinden in the town of Overath in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

Location and description

The small hamlet of Weyerhof, surrounded by fields, is located north of Overath near the border with the Rhein-Sieg district and the Naafbachtal nature reserve . It can be reached via Kreisstraße 34 (here called Eulenthaler Straße .) Local locations in the vicinity are Kulhoven , Hasenberg , Buschhoven and Kern . From a natural point of view, the area belongs to the Marialinder Riedelland . Its wetlands in particular are home to rare animals and plants.

history

Weyerhof did not come into being until the second half of the 19th century and only appears on maps in the Prussian new record of 1892. From this issue onwards, the place is regularly labeled as Weyerhof on the measuring table sheets .

The municipal and Gutbezirksstatistik the Rhine Province leads Weyerhof 1871 with a dwelling house and four residents. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, a house with three residents is given for Weyerhof . In 1895 the place had a house with two inhabitants, in 1905 one house and one inhabitant were given. According to the house numbering register of 1907, a Wilhelm Klug lived there.
